Thomas Zellweger studied at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, where he got his MBA. After two years in investment banking in Brussels, Thomas rejoined University of St. Gallen where he got his PhD in 2006. He co-founded and currently directs the Center for Family Business and is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in St. Gallen. He serves as a research fellow at Babson College, is associate editor of Journal of Family Business Strategy and serves on the Editorial Board of Family Business Review. His work has been published in journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice and Family Business Review. In 2010 he is the CIBC Business Families Visiting Professor at Sauder School of Business. His research focuses on value and performance just as entrepreneurship in family firms.
